Week 12 (BPL)
"The best league in the world." Either that's true or some good teams just face teams better than them, and that's why they lose. Either way, I have some more game news from the BPL. First game is Chelsea against Stoke City. I really have no idea why, but Chelsea has been getting totally obliterated this season. They still have all their star players from last year, plus Pedro. Even Juventus in the Serie A is playing better than them, and they lost their sacred Tevez, Vidal, and Pirlo. Ay-ay-ay. Back to the game: Chelsea lost 1-0 to Stoke after a beautiful acrobatic goal by Arnautovich put them in the lead right after halftime. Apparently, Chelsea still dominated with possession and went all-out-attacking for the final twenty minutes, but it still wasn't enough for them. Sorry, Chelsea fans. Next game isn't much of a surprise. Arsenal tied 1-1 with Tottenham Hotspur. Though they've been pretty much dominating this season the Gunners might be getting tired, and I don't blame them. Wenger even brought on Flamini for Cazorla as he seemed fatigued. Harry Kane scored Tottenham's first goal that game around the first half hour, kept barely onside by Laurent Koscielny. After halftime though, Arsenal came back from a cross from Mesut Özil straight to Gibbs, who got the ball past Lloris for the equalizer. It's a pity though. If Arsenal scored just one more goal, they would've been first in the BPL table. But, they remain tied with Manchester City at 26 points. The only reason Man City is still tied is because they also drew quite an uneventful game with Aston Villa at 0-0. There's not much to say about it, but I can say that the game would have been so much better if Agüero wasn't out for an injury (one that I included on my last injuries blog). The game to conclude today's blog is Manchester City vs West Brom. After this 2-0 victory, ManU's spot in 4th place is settled for this week, at least. The only things that really happened this game were the goals, which were scored by Lingard from a curl at the edge of the box (his first goal this season) and a penalty scored by Juan Mata, where a Brom player got a red card in the box (in the 90th minute as well! Unlucky). Anyway, thanks for reading this week's blog!
